Managing credit cards effectively

Credit cards are almost a necessity in today’s society. It has become harder and harder to get through life without plastic. If you want to make purchases over the Internet, guarantee a hotel room, or perform a wide variety of other financial transactions, a credit card is essential. And, the truth is, credit cards can be a valuable financial tool, provided you manage them effectively. All credit cards are definitely not created equally and the first step to effective credit card management is shopping around for the right card in the first place. The factors to take into consideration are interest rates, annual fees, other fees, grace periods and aspects like cash back or other rewards for using the card. Interest Rates One of the incentives credit card companies use to try to get customers to choose their card over all the others floating around is to offer a special introductory interest rate. An introductory rate sounds good, but can be a trap for the unwary. Generally, the customer opts for the low introductory rate, runs up the charges on the card, and is not able to pay the card off by the end of the introductory period. That’s when the ‘after-introductory’ rate kicks in, and you find yourself paying from 12-20% on your credit card debt. When you are interest rate shopping, you also need to make sure that the interest rate won’t take a substantial jump if you are late with a payment. Some companies bump the interest rate if your payment is even a day late, and the change is permanent. You don’t ever go back to the lower rate. Fees Be sure to read the fine print. Credit card issuers have gotten fairly ingenious about hiding a variety of fees that the casual consumer, who doesn’t bother to read all of the credit card details, may end up paying and not even be aware. Annual fees are fairly straightforward. There are cards that charge annual fees just for the privilege of carrying the card, and there are others that don’t charge annual fees at all. An annual fee is not necessarily bad, depending on the perks that go along with it. If there are none, don’t bother with cards that charge an annual fee. On the other hand, if you have no credit history or a bad credit history, you may have to get a card with an annual fee, and use it until you can qualify for a different one. In most cases the annual fee can be rolled into the monthly payments and doesn’t have to be paid up front, although that is not always the case. Watch out for hidden fees like closure fees. Some companies actually charge you for closing your account. The only way to avoid closure fees are to carefully read all of the credit card’s terms and conditions before accepting it and make sure that no such fee is attached. Late fees can be charged when your payment is late, sometimes even as little as one day late. These fees can vary, but again are disclosed in the credit card terms, so at least you are aware and can avoid them by keeping your payments current. If you travel, beware of overseas transaction fees. Some card issuers have begun to charge a 1-2% fee off the top for using the credit card overseas. Grace Periods If you plan on paying off your balance in full each month to avoid incurring any interest fees, make sure your card has a grace period that allows you to do so. Some cards begin charging interest at the time of purchase. In that case, even if you pay off your balance every month, you will still end up paying interest to the credit card company. Make sure there is a grace period on your card – that’s the amount of time you have before you start incurring interest charges and it’s usually something like 25-30 days. Be sure to read the card disclosures carefully so you will know if there is a grace period during which you pay no interest, or not. If you don’t pay off the balance of your account each month, grace periods really don’t make too much difference because you will be paying interest anyway. Other Benefits Some credit cards offer additional benefits for using their card – things like airline miles or a percentage of cash back on all your purchases. If you travel a great deal or routinely use your credit card for all purchases and then pay them off before the end of the month, these can be valuable additions. However, be sure to read all of the fine print and make sure the perks aren’t costing you more in fees and interest than they are worth. If you can’t get by without a credit card, and very few of us can in this day and age, at least be aware of all the different types of offers that exist and choose the one that will benefit you most in the long run.

How to win at multiplayer first shooter games

: The way most first player shooters score kills is simple to understand the harder it is to make the kill the more points you get. This means that if you kill someone with a knife you will get more points then someone using a chain gun, but running around with just your knife out is a big gamble unless you are extremely skilled at the game. This method of play will usually just make you the biggest loser. One way to get a good score is to take a long range weapon like a sniper rifle and camp out near the enemy camps spawn point. By doing this every time someone on the opposing team gets killed they will instantly revert back to the spawn point and you can shoot them, then they will disappear and then reappear and you can shoot them again. You get fewer points like this, but it is the same principal as playing roulette in the casinos, it is easier to get many smaller wins, rather then one big win. When using this method try to pick your location using your head and do not just take a gamble on your sniping spot. You will want to have the advantage of height, but sometimes if you can get a good shot and be in a lower location it may be the last place someone looks for you. Many of the newer first player games allow the sun to be used as it would in real life. So going up a hill and having the sun at your back will give you a natural advantage in the game, and allow you to snipe from the same spot for a longer time before someone finds and kills you. Another way to get a higher score is to work as a team with other players. Most people playing a First Player Shooter are playing alone with the goal of running around and killing everything that moves, but if you and some friends are playing you can use each other as in real combat. Now that you have other people watching your back as a unit you can be a more effective killer in the game, an example of this is that in some of the delta force games you can take a helicopter and if your friend is flying it you and another friend can man the chain guns and you can cover a bigger area, and deciding on a plan before starting the game you can develop a good strategy as a professional gambler or Online Poker player would allowing you to focus on 1 thing instead of many different aspects of the game. Many times I would jump into the pilots chair and other players would jump in and I would circle the enemy camp but the players in the back of my chopper would not attack instead they would jump out or just wait for me to land instead of helping me attack from the air. So instead of increasing our chances of winning by working together they just wanted to be a team of 1. This will decrease the chances of our team winning the game, just like a player at a blackjack table can make all the other players lose by making bad decisions when it is that players turn. Formulating a good strategy, playing as a team and using all available tools at your disposal you can not only win more games and get more points, you will also have a better online gaming experience, and this applies to playing first person shooter games and gambling in online casinos.

Flatter you figure with the right handbag

For most of us women we buy handbags because we like the way it looks and we find them in a design or style that suits our taste. I personally have never thought that I would have to consider my figure and shape when I would have to buy handbags. I use to just look around for something that I think looks nice and would match several of my outfits. Quite often, I rarely even try them on to have a look at how the bag appears with me carrying it. I have never thought that when you buy a handbag you need to think of it as if you are buying a pair of jeans. You need the right fit. The right handbag could flatter your figure or it could ruin the entire ensemble you have assembled if it seems to be out of place for your particular image. When it comes to choosing any particular bag for that matter, your shape is a very important consideration. You need to choose a bag shape that is opposite your body type. As an example, for someone who is very thin and tall a round hobo bag would complement your figure. For those who may be stout and short, clutches that are rectangular and long or tall would suit well. However, while a bag’s shape should be opposite your body type the bag’s size needs to be in proportion to your size or figure. It wouldn’t look appealing for someone with a large figure to be carrying a very cute and small shoulder bag for then it would just emphasize how big she really is. In the same way a small or short girl carrying a very big handbag spells disaster. The huge size of the bag would just make her look more short and small. Certain bags like a shoulder bag for example could accentuate a figure depending on the length of the strap. A shoulder bag that would be around the hips would definitely give definition and draw attention to your curvaceous hips. It is important to bear in mind some important tips. When buying for handbags be patient and take time to try them on, looking at yourself at the mirror just as if you are trying on clothes. Don’t be drawn to trendy bags that do not look good on you. No matter how great looking the bag will be it wouldn’t do any good if it doesn’t fit you nor flatter you in any way.

Advertise on my site a complete review

Undoubtedly one of the hottest trends on the Internet today is blogging. The numbers are simply mind-boggling if one has to compare the number of blogs that have been created. This is an incredible way to interact with people who share similar interests and likes as you. This new world serves as a great networking tool. In fact I first discovered this when I decided to advertise on my blog. At times I post freelance writing jobs on my blog for other writers. Employers advertise on my site indirectly. On the other hand this service is extremely appreciated by a number of my visitors who are in search for work. Instead of visiting countless web pages, many writers come directly to my blog to see what I advertise on my site. Personally I like consistency so I prefer to take on solid projects with reliable clients. Nonetheless, there is something very appealing about the thrill of the chase. Despite the fact that I don’t advertise on my site to find work for myself however I do get a kick out of hunting down the offers. Besides I appreciate the feedback given from the writers who find work through my blog. I simply cannot imagine looking for work on a daily basis. Well, actually, I can because I do search every day. Frankly speaking I really can’t imagine relying on the search for my livelihood. A number of the readers who visit the blog sometimes leave messages just to let me know that they were hired for one project or another. For sure, these messages make my day! I’m happy to know that the site is doing some good. Unfortunately, one of my readers became offended that I use Google advertisements on my site. Indeed she wanted to know why I advertise on my blog for profit. Well, the profit is quite small. In fact I have found that writers are not really clickers. And in my opinion I also think that clicking on one or two ads is not a big price for the service I provide. Now this brings to mind the question about blog etiquette. A lot of seasoned bloggers get aggravated by the site of advertisements. Nevertheless, these readers should consider the purpose of the site before passing judgment. The reason behind why I advertise on my site is because it offers a valuable service. Of course, the reader has the option of scrolling down past the advertisements if he isn’t happy with them. There is absolutely no obligation at all to click on an ad. The fact is that several of my readers commented that they didn’t even notice that I advertise on my blog until the complaint was posted on my site. I’d like to thank that person for complaining. This way my readers are taking time to give me a few clicks now!

Reduce waste this christmas

Christmas is responsible for more waste and consumption than any other holiday. North American’s trash increases by 25% over Christmas - which equates to 25 million extra tons of garbage going to the landfill. By recognizing the incredible waste that is generated the urgency to do something becomes apparent. A truly useful or environment friendly gift is a better ecological choice. Here is a brief list of ideas to inspire you. Я For the homeowner - thermostat control that automatically turns the heat down at night. A low flow shower head attachment. A draft cozy (placed in front of doors to prevent drafts) and tubes of caulking or weather stripping. Dimmer switches or compact fluorescent bulbs. Hot water tank and hot water pipe insulation kits. Я For the gardener - subscription to an organic gardening magazine or a membership to a seed organization. Bird, bat and butterfly houses, baths and feeders – or the patterns to build them. A composting worm bin or a membership with an environmental group. Я Tickets to a performance, restaurant gift certificates or services such as lawn care, diaper, cleaning, music lessons, exercise or dance classes, tune-up or tire rotation services – all support local business. Я Dehydrated, canned or preserved foods make excellent gifts. Frozen dishes are treasured by those that find cooking tasks cumbersome. Я Brazil or cashew nuts as they promote a living tropical rainforest. Я Books (i. e. Trash Talk). Я A reusable coffee filter and whole organic coffee beans. Я If you choose to purchase electronics, consider those powered by solar or rechargeable batteries. Я For holiday photo memories using a digital camera and getting pictures put on CD’s reduces chemicals, paper and cost. Choosing 36 exposure film rolls reduces packaging and waste. Я Consider a live tree. At the end of the season, donate it to individuals, the city, schools or parks. Plant it in your own yard for privacy, shade or erosion control.

Car accident article car accidents post traumatic stress disorder

American society is plagued by self-induced stress. Should this be something we pop pills for? Retrospectively, society accepts the unhealthiness of prior forms of medicated stress relief. It is generally accepted that smoking, for example, causes more problems than it relieves. Why does America swallow anti-anxiety medication so freely, without worrying about harmful side effects? These are powerful drugs that target chemicals in the brain. Medication should be the last resort in any anti-anxiety therapy. First, people who suffer anxiety should be proactive and try to resolve their concerns. One example of a disorder that is suddenly widely prescribed is Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). PTSD was first recognized as a serious problem among veterans returning from war. These men suffered cold sweats, panic attacks, nightmares, and compulsive behavior as a result of near death experiences and the mental anguish of war. Some doctors are now claiming that this same level of shock is regularly induced in car accidents, they cite numbers as high as 9% of car accident victims suffer “significant post-traumatic stress symptoms”. A few years ago, I was in a rather serious car accident, and I experienced symptoms like these medical journals described. I would often upset myself by dwelling on the accident. I displayed obsessive behavior in that I avoided left turns wherever possible, even on deserted streets. I could not manage this out on country roads, but in the city grid I was careful to take three right turns instead of making just one left. Riding in a car that slams on its breaks still causes me to spin around and look behind for the car that always seems to be on the verge of collision. Was this Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder? As annoying as these symptoms were, I find it would take a rather presumptuous hypochondriac to insist that these small neuroses could rival the intense stress of a veteran returning from the horrors of war. Perhaps I was stressed and absorbed by my experience, but I certainly never needed medication. What I did need to do was to be proactive. I worked with the insurance companies to work out the claims. I spoke with my lawyer and found someone who wanted to buy and rebuild my totaled car so I did not have to consign it to a junkyard. I took responsibility for the situation and did not let it take control of me. It did hurt to think about my car for months, but I don’t obsess about it anymore. If you feel overwhelmed by a car accident experience and all of your real medical needs are met, you do not need a doctor. Talk to a lawyer about your situation and be proactive about filing papers and taking action. I felt overwhelmed after my car accident, but talking to an experienced car accident attorney helped me to answer my questions, address my doubts, and quell my anxiety. No pills required. Car Accident Lawyer Legal Advice Car accidents are currently the number one killer of people between the ages of 1 and 37 in the United States. Car accidents, crashes, and collisions cause about 3 million injuries a year, 2 million of which are permanent and crippling injuries per year. 40,000 people die in car accidents every year in the United States alone. The Department of Transportation reports that most of these car accident deaths can be avoided. About 40% of car crash fatalities involve drinking alcohol and driving. Many accidents involve some combination of alcohol and speeding. Additionally, seatbelt use is only around 68% despite the proven fact that seatbelts protect drivers and passengers and save lives. In more than half of all car accident fatalities, the deceased were found not to be wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash. Reckless and drunk driving is a serious offense and the law treats a car, when it causes injuries, as a dangerous weapon. When victims are injured and killed in drunk driving accidents, the driver can be charged the same as if he or she had attacked their victims with any other weapon, like a gun. A drunk driver who kills a person can be sent to prison for murder. Such dangerous activities as drunk driving and racing are often treated casually by young people, but they do not understand the inherent risks associated with this behavior. Every twelve minutes somebody in the country dies in a car accident. If you or somebody you love has been involved in a car accident, either as a driver or as a victim, it is important to seek legal council. Remember, if you are involved in an accident, never to apologize or accept responsibility without consulting a lawyer. Car crashes are scary, but apologizing on the scene can fix the blame on you even if the collision is another driver’s fault. A lawyer can help you work out the necessary paperwork and protect you from accusations and court proceedings. Insurance companies have lawyers protecting their interests, shouldn’t you? Finally, do not panic. As drivers become more aware of their responsibilities and car companies develop safer vehicles, the percentage of deaths in car crashes has steadily declined. When combined with safe, responsible driving techniques, such as acknowledging posted speed limits, wearing seatbelts, and going out with designated drivers, these new cars and advanced roadways promise a safer driving experience.

Larussa s cardinals begin to fly away from the pack

: The St. Louis Cardinals visited Hollywood on the weekend and in sweeping the series against the Dodgers, sent a statement to the rest of the NL that they are getting their act together. The three-game sweep was the Cardinals' first at Dodger Stadium since April 1993. They have won nine straight against Los Angeles and 15 of the last 19 meetings -- including a four-game sweep last week in St. Louis. Overall, the NL Central leaders have won 11 of 13 and lead Cincinnati by five games. The only other time the Dodgers were swept in a season series by an NL club since moving to Los Angeles in 1958 was in 1994, when Atlanta was 6-0 against them. But a players strike that year wiped out the final seven scheduled meetings between the teams. Meanwhile the Dodgers are sinking fast in the wild and wacky west as San Diego and San Francisco trade punches for possession of first place. The Dodgers are 1-10 with three shutout losses since the All-Star break -- two of them against St. Louis -- and have been outscored 57-17 during this stretch. The Cardinals outscored them 35-8 in the seven games. A Rod will get an earful tonight as he heads back to Texas which is where the $250,000 contract originated and this guy is in a terrible funk. Rodriguez is batting just .154 (4-for-26) in his last six games and also trying to recover his fielding mechanics after committing five errors in that span. But the Yankees third baseman is batting .313 (15-for-48) with two homers and eight RBIs against the Rangers since being traded to the Yankees in 2004. This will be Rodriguez's second trip back this season after going 5-for-13 (.385) with a home run and six RBIs in a three-game series May 5-7 in Arlington. The Minnesota Twins have been playing remarkable ball the past month but with the play of the Tigers, White Sox and Mets, very few people realize that they have crept inside of 10 games from Detroit’s lead. The White Sox (59-38) meet the Twins (56-41) in the start of a key three-game series at U. S. Cellular Field on Monday with just three games separating them in the wild card race. On June 7, Chicago was 36-22 and one-half game behind AL Central-leading Detroit. Minnesota was a season-worst eight games below .500 at 25-33 and in fourth place, 11 1/2 games back of the Tigers. Both teams have gone in different directions since then as they chase the Tigers and the wild card spot. The defending World Series champions have gone 23-16, but have fallen 6 1/2 games in back of the Tigers. Minnesota, meanwhile, has won 31 of 39 -- posting two eight-game winning streaks and a season-high 11-game run from June 22-July 3 -- and are one-half game behind the New York Yankees for second in the wild card. The Twins also have continued to win despite injuries. Outfielders Torii Hunter (stress fracture in left foot), Shannon Stewart (sore left foot) and Lew Ford (strained oblique) all are on the disabled list. This is the first of 12 games between the teams over the remainder of the season. They conclude the regular season with a three-game set from Sept. 29-Oct. 1 in Minneapolis. Wheel truing 295

Wheel Truing Wheel truing is actually something that is very easy to do. Even if you have no experience with mountain biking or truing a wheel, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to accomplish it. The first thing to do is make sure that none of your spokes are loose. To check, grab each spoke in turn and try to shake it back and forth. If the spoke wobbles, or makes pinging and grating noises, it's loose. If it's loose, add tension to the spoke by turning the spokey anti-clockwise with your finger and thumb pressure. Keep turning and shaking until the noise is gone and the spoke doesn't wobble or move. Move on to the next spoke until you've gone all the way around the wheel and checked them all. Now, it's time to see just how true the wheel actually is. Turn your bike upside down then spin the wheel to see where it comes closest to rubbing on the brake. You may need to rotate the wheel backwards then forwards to locate the middle of the bulge on the wheel. Tighten the spokes which run on to the other side of the rim. If those spokes are already tight, you'll need to loosen a few of the spokes which run to the bulge side of the hub. Truing a wheel is easier than you may think, although it can be a little tough with some wheels. If you need to loosen spokes, be very careful that you don't break them. They can be very tough to loosen on older mountain bikes. (word count 295)

The girl with the green guitar

The high energy performances of rising country rock star, Candy Coburn, are starting to win her an ever increasing fan base. Sporting her trademark green guitar, a Mother's Day gift from her husband, Candy literally explodes onto the stage in her live concerts. Her music has a unique style that Candy says was shaped by her life experiences and which seems to connect with her audience. She has already released one CD titled, "Enjoy the Ride", and her second CD is due out sometime this fall. She has been doing a lot of touring during which she has opened for many of country music's biggest stars. In her most recent performance in Missouri's bootheel region, she opened for Little Big Town. She certainly did a good job there of warming the crowd as she had them hooting and yelling for more. Candy is a down to earth girl with a big heart, and as soon as her performance ended, she headed straight for a group of children in a special section high up in the arena. The children, many of them in wheelchairs, were given a thrill by having their pictures taken with the performer they had just finished cheering for on stage. She remained signing autographs and having her picture taken with fans until the main performance was ready to begin. Even when Little Big Town had finished their set, she was found in the lobby still mingling with her fans. This is not unusual for this down-to-earth, unspoiled, but quickly rising, new singer. She can often be found doing charity shows in her home region, and relates easily and naturally with her growing number of avid fans. Do not be surprised if in the future the cry of "We want some Candy" is heard all over the world of country music.

How to film perfect wedding videos

Capturing the perfect wedding day video takes more than just luck. There are a number of factors involved that should be considered when you're planning your wedding video whether you're the one behind or in front of the camera. 1. Experience Make sure the videographer has considerable experience, has just about seen it all and can anticipate what is about to happen in order to capture events as they unfold. Take note of any recommendations from people you know or testimonials to this regard. 2munication The videographer must be prepared to liaise with other people who have key roles in your day, from the photographer to the hotel manager, in order to be alerted to upcoming highlights such as cutting the cake and the speeches as well as ensuring s/he is updated of any changes to the schedule. 3. Post Editing The video service should be able to provide additional interesting extras, such as background music and slow motion shots, which will give your finished video a professional and polished touch, distinguishing it from a regular home movie. 4. Expertise The wedding video should be a professional piece of work, make sure that as well as having top quality equipment, the videographer also advocates technical knowledge such as an understanding of white balance, manual focus and shutter speeds. Ask to see examples of their work to judge the picture quality for yourself. 5. Lighting When discussing locations for the wedding day, ensure that the videographer has lighting equipment suitable for indoor filming and will be able to transport it to each venue, to ensure each picture is evenly lit and exposed. 6. Sound Ask if it is possible for the groom to wear a tie-clip microphone in order to pick up both sets of vows being made. Even the most confident of couples can be softly spoken when exchanging vows and this is the most important moment in your marriage ceremony that will want to be relived. This inconspicuous device will record voices onto the video, which may otherwise be lost. 7. Discretion The ideal videographer will be unobtrusive and record the day without becoming a feature of it. Choose someone who understands the sensitivity needed to get all the shots whilst remaining invisible. Look for comments highlighting this ability when checking recommendations.

If flying is something that you have dreamed about, then pilot training can and should be part of your future. This type of learning is one of the most exciting because it takes individuals to places that they could never be otherwise. Being in control of a plane is something that is amazing, a feeling that is truly unmatched. If you are interested in pilot training, strap in and start learning first about how it will work. There are several opportunities available in pilot training. Some of these options include programs that certify you to become a private, commercial or airline transport pilot. These are exciting careers that can have you spending your working hours each day high above the ground. For many, this has been a dream in the making that they have dreamt about for years and years. But, what happens now that you know you want to get a pilot training? You will want to choose the right pilot training school. To do this, you'll want to focus on finding a school in the right area. If you have the option to choose anywhere, consider locations that have good weather conditions for most of the year. This will help you to get your hours of flying training in as quick as possible. Next, you'll find yourself learning. The first step in training for pilots is to do the book work. You'lll find yourself learning about all sorts of things from how and why a plane works to how to manage a crisis in the air. From there, you'll be able to use flight simulators to help teach you what you should be doing while you are safely on the ground. Some of these simulators are amazing in that they are actually the size and feel of the cockpit. The final stop, of course, in pilot training is getting off the ground and into the air. You will be amazed at how wonderful it can be to get up in the sky. You will spend anywhere from 1500 to 20,000 hours of pilot training in the skies.

Niches the path to more profits

Hey, as business owners we CAN'T be all things for all customers. I mean it would be fantastic if we could, however, you just can't meet the needs and wants of everyone, you would run yourself ragged trying : BUT ... that doesn't mean you throw your hands up in despair and give up ;o) Stick with me for a few minutes and we'll go over a few ideas that come to mind and see if they get your creative juices flowing. Firstly, what the heck is a "Niche" anyway?? I mean I am sure you have seen the word flying around the Internet and a lot more lately. You've seen newsletter articles and email letters from some of the top guru's now sprouting "Niche" as the new "catch" word of the time. The term is NOT NEW. Basically a "niche" is finding a specific target market and catering to their specific wants and needs. Ummm let me give you an example... As a marketing coach/consultant my business is providing a service "marketing" to businesses. Now obviously the business arena is too general so what I want to do is break it down into bite size sectors or smaller target markets. I may want to deal specifically to the needs and wants of Dental Offices and decide to specialize in Dental Office Marketing. I could take on the legal sector and specialize in marketing legal practices. Get where I am going here?? I can't be all things to all businesses out there, so I break the business sector down into target markets and the find the ones that I want to specialize in and cater to that group specifically. Now, you may be thinking ok, that's good for you being a marketing coach, but I am an affiliate for a program...how does "niche marketing" affect me? Glad you asked ;o) When people first come online with the desire to start some sort of business they typically go into the "emarketing" niche and promote products/services with a marketing theme. It makes sense from a marketing point of view, you go where there is demand. However, with demand also comes competition and the "online marketing" arena is saturated and highly competitive. So...what do you do? Well, what you need to do is sit and think of markets outside of the "online marketing" arena which could also use your products/ services and target your messages specifically to them. Umm I feel an example coming on here...ah ok, here is one for you. Lets say you are an affiliate for an autoresponder service. Excellent service because you know that anyone who starts a business online needs an autoresponder. While that is great, what isn't so hot is the fact that you are not the only autoresponder service in cyber-land and they too are targeting the same niche you are. But...the difference between you and them is this article ;o) See, we all go for the obvious niche or target market when we sign onto an affiliate program. We go after the others just like us and market to them. What we fail to do is find the OTHER niches or target markets out there that haven't heard of an autoresponder and have no idea what it is let alone how much time we can save them. I am thinking about niches like, oh...perhaps Real Estate Agents. A few friends are in the market for a new house. Every week they get in the mail (snail mail) the new listing sheets for all the houses listed that week. The idea is that they go through these sheets and see if any of the houses peak their interest and then they are to call their Agent and ask to view them. It was an ok system, but imagines how much time and MONEY a Real Estate Agent could save if they had an autoresponder service? All they would have to do is create the new listing templates, enter the email address and names of their client base (even that is automated) and blast out the new listings once a week, or more often if they wanted to. No more printing costs and gone are the mailing costs and the time factor you have saved them is PRICELESS! See the potential here??? Are you beginning to get the idea about finding other market segments (customers) for your products/services?? If you are an affiliate for an autoresponder service you could promote autoresponders to Dental Offices. They send out appointment reminder cards...imagine the cost savings for them if they had an autoresponder service, not to mention the time savings of having staff to stick labels and post them out?? It is just a matter of seeing what they do and how your service can save them the time and money. AND...the best part about this thinking is that not many take on this sort of business stance. Now let’s get away from the "online marketing niche" for a second and think of other ways of creating profit through niches. Another thing is to look to your hobbies and interests. Lets say you dabble at DJing on the weekends as a hobby. With that very hobby you could create profit by creating a little niche site geared towards DJing. Your site could focus on showing someone how to break into the weekend DJ business and provide sites that offer good DJ equipment (that you are affiliated with of course). The idea about NICHE Marketing is that you DON'T have to stick within the "Online Marketing" niche. You can find a niche based on an affiliate program, a hobby or a special interest. Some of the top marketers have found other niches like; stop smoking, weight loss, online dating, model trains, travel, golf and yup even cooking. Don't limit yourself to the niche of online marketing. Step out and find other market segments that are not being served or where there is limited competition and build your niches around those. It's like taking a path of least resistance and a path to more profits!

Baccarat made easy

I'm often asked about Casino games, and a common question is "What's the Easiest Casino Game to Play?" Of course, that's a difficult question to answer, and yet an easy one to answer as well. Let me explain…. First, “easy” is a relative term. What’s easy for one person may be very difficult for another person. Although I’ve written a book on how to make Craps extremely easy for the beginner as well as for the Professional Gambler, I will usually answer this question by emphatically stating – “Baccarat is the Easiest Game to Play in the whole Casino”. “But”, they protest, “It looks like the hardest game to play”, or “it looks so intimidating”, or, “isn't that James Bond’s favorite game?”. Yes, It’s all of the above…. Unless you “just do it”. So, let’s take a closer look. On its simplest level, it’s ONLY a matter of making ONE decision: Bank or Player! That’s it… there is no more…. You can play Baccarat by ONLY deciding whether to bet on the Bank or on the Player. That’s it – you place your chip(s) in the little box or circle on the table marked “Bank” and you’ve bet that the Bank will win the next hand. If you place your bet in the space marked “Player”, you are betting that the “Player” will win the next hand. You REALLY don’t need to know (or do) anything else… and you’re playing Baccarat! There are other things to do if you want. I always insist that my students keep a running score (or record) of the outcomes of each hand in order to use my favorite betting strategies for Baccarat. But, for those who want more… let’s look at the game’s other nuances and options. There are two different tables dealing Baccarat: The Pit, and the Mini Tables. The Pit is cordoned off with velvet ropes, manned by tuxedoed dealers, served by specially assigned cocktail waitresses, pit bosses, and Casino Hosts. All of who are there to provide “extra” goodies to the Baccarat players. Usually, there is also a buffet spread there for the Baccarat players in the Pit. Talk about intimidating! What’s more, there’s a $100 MINIMUM bet enforced (except at one Casino on the Las Vegas Strip) on the weekends, and $50 on the weekdays and nights. Are you scared off yet? Don’t be, this can be a “bargain”. The other way to play Baccarat is at the “Mini Tables”. The game is played the same way, but it’s in the main casino area, a sit-down, half-circle table (it looks like a “Blackjack” table) and there’s only one dealer. These Mini Tables have similar betting ranges (low minimums) to the Blackjack Tables, depending upon the Casino, the day of the week, the time of the day etc. The main difference is that the dealer handles all the cards here, whereas the players handle the cards in the pit. But THAT is a crucial difference…. NOT in the way the game is played (they’re identical) but in the TIME it takes to play a hand. The single dealer at the Mini Tables blasts through the hands, and you must play many, many hands an hour. But, in the Pit, the players handle the cards, and believe me, it’s an art form, and very interesting to watch how they handle the cards. Nearly ALL of them will bend (and I mean BEND) each of their two cards up to reveal – SLOWLY – the marks, or spots on the side of their card, and then do the same on the end of their card – then do the same ritual to their other card… and then they THROW them down on the table, face up for all to see, OR they rip them into two pieces (Yep, the cards are only used one time in the pit and then discarded by the Casino)… OR they have some similar superstitious ritual they do every time. Because of these rituals that are played out EVERY hand, it can take a long, long time to complete the hand, therefore, your number of hands per hour are way low. The result of this is amazing: You could spend much more of your betting bankroll on a $5 Mini table per hour than on a $50 Pit Table! For the purposes of this article, I don’t want to get into how the game is played. For one reason, you DON’T NEED TO KNOW because EVERYTHING is done for you in this game either by the dealer (at the Mini Tables), or you are TOLD what to do by the Dealers in the Pit. For another reason, it is complicated – so, don’t worry about it – Just play the game! I must tell you however, that there are five bets that you can make during any given hand in Baccarat. 1) Bank (you’re betting that the Bank will win) 2) Player (you’re betting that the Player will win) 3) Tie (you’re betting that the two will tie or push – NO winner) 4) Bank AND Tie (You’re betting that the Bank will win, but hedging your bet with a tie bet in case of a tie) 5) Player AND Tie (You’re betting that the Player will win, but hedging your bet with a tie bet in case of a tie) Those are the five betting opportunities in Baccarat. That’s ALL you can do – that’s EVERY betting proposition available… there is NO more – that’s it – NADA! And without going into my strategies…. Let me tell you this: NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER (got it yet?) NEVER bet on a tie! Completely eliminate bets 3, 4, and 5 above, and you are left with ONLY bets 1 and 2…. Bank OR Player. One thing to note: When you win a “Bank” bet, you must pay a 5% commission. There is NO commission on a winning “Player” bet. That’s just to even the odds because there is a “slight” advantage to the “Bank” bet over the “Player” bet. See? I told you it was easy…. That’s all you need to know to play Baccarat!

Life insurance guide ensure your life now

Actually life insurance is an agreement between insured and insurance company. Insurance company agrees to pay a certain amount of money to insured’s beneficiary in case of death of insured. Beneficiary may claim for the policy only if the premiums of the insured are current. Life insurance policy offers security to the surviving family members in case death of a loved one. Insurance company tries to overwhelm the loss by paying a sum of money. People may buy life insurance policy from individuals or insurance companies. Sometimes government offers group life insurance to government employees at no cost. Employees can obtain life insurance at reduced rates from the insurance company of their employer. Cost is the major factor in life insurance policy that totally depends on life, health and occupation of the insured. It can be illustrated as the insurance policy of 24 years old person is inexpensive than 60 years old person. It is available in different types such as whole life insurance, variable life insurance and term life insurance. Premiums in the initial stages, of the term life insurance policy, are low but it increases gradually as the insured grows mature. Whereas a part of each premium pays for insurance and rest works as tax-free investment in case of whole life and variable life insurance. Amount of premium doesn’t change through out entire policy. It is used to increase death benefit in the end. Premium remains same in variable life insurance. It provides permanent protection to the insured. It doesn’t offer guarantee to amount of cash value during lifetime of insured. Choose the best life insurance policy and make your loved ones happy after you.

How to keep predator fish

: Many people like to have fish for pets because they are low maintenance, and can be very relaxing to watch them swim. Most first time fish enthusiast like to keep cold water fish, because they are cheap and most of the different types of these fish will get along together. These fish have some bright colors and have some very fancy fins, but they are mostly large goldfish, and eventually switch to tropical fish to get a larger selection of fish. But keeping tropical fish can be a bit of a gamble, the fish cost more and some of them are very aggressive and will eat your other fish. There are more different types of tropical fish for you to choose from, and they have a larger variety of colors then cold water fish and keeping them in an aquarium together with other tropical fish does not have to be a gamble, it is not like a trip to the casino to play blackjack, if you do things right there is no gambling involved at all. The first thing you need to do is some reading before purchasing any fish for your tank. Reading about fish will give you an idea of what species of fish eat other fish, and which ones do not. It will also let you know which meat eating fish will live with what other fish, and make it less of a gamble that you are just buying one fish an expensive meal. Cichlids are a type of fish that eat other fish but they are a school fish and prefer to be in a tank with other Cichlids, but you want all the other Cichlids to be about the same size, or one day you will come home from a day of playing the most Popular Casino Games in the casino to find several fish missing and one fat fish swimming around slowly. Cichlids are a surface to medium depth fish. This means they will swim on the top and middle of the tank and will generally not go to the bottom of the tank for very long. So many people with Cichlids will get a bottom swimmer to fill the tank out. A very popular type of bottom swimmers is catfish. There are many different fish in the species of catfish. Some of these fish are non aggressive and do not get very big, but a fish like this may not be aggressive enough to be in a tank of Cichlids. You may want to get a more aggressive type of catfish, but if you get a large one it will surely eat the Cichlids, but if it too small you are gambling that the Cichlids will not pick its eyes out. Just remember that no matter how much you read each fish does have a personality of their own and no matter how much you read that one fish will be friendly with another it putting them in an Aquarium together is gambling. There is always the possibility that some of your fish will get eaten, but the only way to make keeping fish not a gamble is to keep each fish in their own separate fish tank in the hope that this will keep them all safe, but this will not make for happy fish. With trial and error you will learn what can live with what types of fish and save the gambling for Las Vegas casinos.

Ecommerce have cart will shop

In order for you to sell products or services online you will need a shopping cart application to facilitate ecommerce. While your customers simply want a way to make a purchase if they are interested in your product you will have already considered tough choices. For Instance... If you want a full solution for invoicing, statements, receipts and company financial history there are solutions that cover all of this with an application for a shopping cart that is tied to company financial data. One such company is COREsense based in New York. This service requires less redundant work because data entry on sales to a separate accounting software application is not required due to the full integration of financial data. For most companies this solution will fall outside normal budget constraints. If you have no budget for a shopping cart, you have a couple of solutions that might work depending on your technical expertise. OSCommerce is available at no cost. This product is a fully customizable solution for a shopping cart, but it does require personal programming. In many cases netrepreneurs will hire a programmer to set this shopping cart up for them. If you have no up front budget for a shopping cart PayPal makes one available at no cost, but they do retain a fee as well as a small commission on each sale. The power of PayPal may make this a trusted source for online transactions for your customers. Yahoo and eBay provide shopping cart services at $30-40 per month and offers a few features unavailable with the low cost or no-cost checkout solutions. There are other online solutions for cyber transactions with the tipping point based entirely on the size and needs of your online business. If you are a large company with thousands of online transactions, it may ultimately be less expensive to purchase a shopping cart system that requires a monthly fee. In the end, the fees and commissions associated with no cost carts could outpace a standard monthly fee from other ecommerce transaction solutions. Your customers have a choice in where they shop online and you have a choice in how you manage online transactions. Spend some time checking out the services offered and how the fees will affect your bottom line both now and as your company grows. As with all ecommerce sites, your business will not do well if it is difficult to checkout. Make sure the transaction solution you choose allow your clients to make a purchase easily. If the process if too difficult the prospect may bow out before the sale is complete.

Types of diabetes

: The American Diabetes Association adopted the following classification in 1979. Type –1, insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus Type-2, non insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus There are two other kinds of diabetes, known as gestational diabetes and secondary diabetes. There is also a special kind of diabetes in India called malnutrition related diabetes. Type-1 Insulin-Dependant Diabetes This is the most severe form of diabetes. It develops when pancreas makes little or no insulin. Without insulin in the blood stream, sugar does not get into the cells, and remains in the blood. People with type-1 diabetes depend on injections of insulin to regulate their smaller metabolism. Type-2 Non Insulin Dependent Diabetes This type of diabetes is also known as adult onset diabetes. It seldom develops before the age of 40 years, although it may occur at any stage. Infect the incidence of type-2 diabetes in adolescents in on the rise. But because the symptoms are milk, these may not notice and the condition remains undetected for a long period and till later years. One common factor in both type-1 and type-2 diabetes is elevated blood sugar levels. However, unlike type-1 diabetes, type-2 is not a disease of the immune system. While people with type-1 diabetes must use insulin to live, most of those with type-2 diabetes are able to control the disease and even reverse it. This is possible by a combination of appropriate diet, proper weight control and adequate exercise. How the new computer user can reduce spam

Every computer user gets spam in their email almost daily. There is just no way to avoid junk email unless you want to delete it without reading it. Yes, you can compare it to those telemarketers who call you at dinnertime (or any other time). There is no way to avoid having an email address on the computer because if you have an account, you must have an email address to do business on the Internet. Someone will find a way to contact you either by phone, snail mail or email to try to "sell" you an idea, plan, or a product. There is just no escaping junk email if you have an account on the Internet, and this unwanted email can become annoying at times. Spam filters are used by most of the Internet Service Providers such as American Online. The computer user fills out a list of overused spam words in the email settings filter and saves it. After the settings go into effect, any any future email containing the spam word that you inserted into the filter will not make it into your email account. You may get spam in your spam folder, but some of it may be email you may want to read. If you want the email in your regular email , you can whitelist the email address in your address book so that the email is sent directly to your email account. Be cautious in revealing your personal email address, for privacy or for safety reasons as well as avoiding spam. Do not let fear of spammers limit your time on the Internet forums or groups, as you can use a free email address or a disposable email account such as those on Hotmail, Mail, and Yahoo. Addresses from these accounts are often used by people to guard their privacy on forums and groups on the Web. When you feel that you know someone trustworthy, you can give them your personal email address. But have at least one or two different free disposable email addresses to cut the spamming in the personal email account. Avoid responding to unsolicited spam as it will confirm your address to the spammer which could, in turn, send you even more spam than you will ever want to see. Also if you answer or complain about the offensive emails it may only come back to your email address as undeliverable or may be sent to some other annoyed computer user's address. You can call or email your Internet Service Provider and ask what their procedure is in blocking spam. Several years ago, I remember sending manually a few hundred junk emails back to the Report Abuse team at my free email account. This worked very well as it has not happened again. Find out from your Internet Service Provider how they can help you end the onslaught of spam. Usually the spammer's account will be terminated or shut down if there are enough complaints from consumers. Check with Spam Cop and Network Abuse Clearninghouse's resources and information for people who receive spam. These informative resources can contact the Internet Service Providers so that the spammer is made aware of complaints, although at times they may not always be accurate. Remember that the spam will continue if people remain complacent or just too lazy to report it. Reducing the level of spam in your mailbox may take a little time and effort on your part. What you can also do is start blocking certain email addresses that come from repeated spammers. The junk emails are then blocked before they even reach your mailbox address. Again, set up the spam filter to block emails containing certain spam words so that you will not receive them. These two techniques alone will reduce the onslaught of unwanted junk emails in your personal email account. The computer user must be careful of not clicking on email attachments from unknown senders as they can contain various types of viruses and infectious worms that can harm your computer or files. If you did not request a email to be sent to you, do not open an attachment as it could be a worm. You do not want to pay for expensive computer repairs. These problems, in turn, can be avoided if you have a strong firewall and good antivirus software in place on your computer. Do not be indifferent and believe that it will not happen to you. Be cautious, and try to research on protecting your computer. your online and offline privacy, and your Internet account.

Take your kids to a farmers market

: As our society becomes more and more modern we find that the distance between a raw ingredient and a finished product has expanded to the point where we often haven’t a clue where anything, let alone the food we eat, originates. In taking your kids to a local farmers market you can slowly bridge that gap, reconnect with your actual community and the great people in it, show your kids visual proof that food does not start out in a box, and help the local economy. Who knew buying a tomato or pack of strawberries could be so powerful! Many kids today (and too many of their parents!) think that all food is made in factories where mass produced edible products roll off a production line, are individual wrapped, and shipped cross country to your local supermarket. Unfortunately, those kids would be almost correct. Even PB&J sandwiches, arguably one of the quickest, cheapest, and easiest things to make yourself, now come pre-made, individually wrapped and frozen! You can help educate your kids that there are still hard working people in our own backyard producing good, nutritious food for us. These folks can often be found at one of the 3100+ local growers or farmers markets in the U. S. selling their fresh fruit, vegetables, meat, eggs, and just about anything else one can grow, raise, or harvest. Markets can be a load of fun for kids as many feature baby animals, live music, jugglers, and artists who make handcrafted soaps, woodwork, breads and other baked goods. Farmers Markets are catering to the family more than ever – to make a morning out shopping for carrots and lettuce a fun family event. Bring your dog as well! Markets allow you to shop outdoors with your family's best friend in tow. Another reason to make shopping at your local farmers market a regular occurrence is the current energy situation this country and the world face. While we all love to travel we do not necessary like our food to log more miles than us. Studies show that the average family meal travels 1500 miles to reach its eventual destination. Considering energy supply and prices, that needs to be reduced and we all have the power to do so. No idea where your local market is? No problem. The good people at Food Routes and Local Harvest offer easy-to-use tools to locate and visit your local growers. Check out the links below for more info: Searchable nationwide map of farms, markets, co-ops, etc @ Local Harvest More info on why this is so important to your kids and community @ Food Routes Feel passionate about this topic and want to bring farm fresh fruits and veggies to your child’s school? Reduce worker leg back pain with anti fatigue mats

Do you know the largest cause of physician visits in the United States? The flu? The Common cold? No, the largest cause of physician visits is lower back pain, apart from headaches. Lower back pain can be quite a drag, especially since its usually accompaniend by dreadful foot & leg pain. A major cause of foot, leg, & back pain is harsh and demanding work environments, where a worker can stand on an extremely hard surface for prolonged time frames. Working on hard surfaces can cause severe fatigue, which is when the muscles are constricted and blood flow is reduced. In this state, the heart works a lot harder to pump blood through the troubled areas, and the body runs out of energy. The negative effects are pain and exhaustion. One solution to this ever-growing problem is to use anti fatigue mats in the workplace, especially in areas where a lot of standing labor is performed. Apart from cushioning, anti fatigue mats provide a gentle "rebound" which encourages subtle movement of leg and calf muscles, thus promoting an easier flow of blood to and from the heart. Basically, through more efficient muscle activity, the imbalance of constricted blood is virtually eliminated. So what is the proof that anti fatigue mats actually work? There are several studies that prove the efficacy of anti fatigue mats, with the most notable one being a format study at the Center of Ergonomics at the University of Michigan. Mark Redfern, an economist, tested the effects of a variety of floor conditions on physical fatigue. Fourteen subjects were required to stand throughout their entire shift at the Ford Chesterfield Trim Plant. Two of the surfaces tested were concrete and a 3/8" rubber anti-fatigue mat. The conclusive result of the study was that hard concrete floors caused the greatest amount of discomfort and fatigue, while anti fatigue mats were able to reduce it by as much as 50%. Your company can directly benefit from the use of anti fatigue mats through increased worker productivity, reduced worker compensation costs, and lower insurance costs and absenteeism. Since it is a well-established fact that companies are losing billions of dollars each year due to the above mentioned worker related issues, it only makes sense to make a trivial investment on anti fatigue matting to dramatically reduce these losses. In addition to pain and discomfort, prolonged standing on hard surfaces can also cause long-term problems. Pronation, which is the extensive flattening of the foot, and varicose veins, which are caused by the stagnation of blood in lower areas, are two health problems associated with standing trauma. These problems are very costly in terms of worker compensation and insurance, not to mention the resulting lack of productivity and employee turnover. Anti fatigue mats are a real solution, as recommended by the National Safety Council in its publication "Ergonomics". Amongst the professionals who recommend anti fatigue mats are ergonomists, occupational nurses, insurance agents, and POM managers. It is essential that the workplace be safe and pleasant in order to promote the highest levels of productivity, reduce the rate of absenteeism and turnover, increase employee satisfaction, and as a direct result, cut costs and improve profits.

Three deadly mistakes every home buyer should avoid

Deadly Mistake #1: Thinking you can't afford it: Today, buying the home of your dreams is easier than ever before. Many people who thought that buying the home they wanted was simply out of their reach are now enjoying a new lifestyle in their very own new home. Buying a home is the smartest financial decision you will ever make. In fact, most American and Canadian home owners would be financially broke at retirement if it weren't for one saving grace - the equity in their home. Furthermore, mortgage rates are more flexible today than ever and tax allowances favor home ownership. Real estate values have always risen steadily. Of course there are peaks and valleys, but the long term the trend is a consistent increase. This means that every month when you make a mortgage payment the amount that you owe on the home goes down and the value typically increases. This owe less-worth more situation is called equity build-up and is the reason you can't afford not to buy. Even if you have little money for a down payment or credit problems, chances are that you can still buy that new home. It just comes down to knowing the right strategies, and working with the right people. Deadly Mistake #2: Not hiring a buyer's agent to represent you: Buying property is a complex and stressful task. In fact, it is often the biggest single investment you will make in your lifetime. At the same time, real estate transactions have become increasingly complicated. New technology, laws, procedures and competition from other buyers require buyer agents to perform at an ever-increasing level of professionalism. For many home buyers, the process turns into a terrible, stressful ordeal. In addition, making the wrong decisions can end up costing you thousands of dollars. It does not have to be this way! Work with a buyer's agent who has a keen understanding of the real estate business and who is on your side. Buyer's agents have a fiduciary duty to you. That means they are loyal to only you and are obligated to look out for your best interests. Buyer's agents can help you find the best home, the best lender and the best inspector. Best of all, in most cases, the buyer's agent is paid out of the seller's commission, even though he/she works for you. Trying to buy a home without an agent at all is, well... unthinkable. Deadly Mistake #3: Getting a cheap inspection: Buying a home is probably the most expensive purchase you will ever make. This is no time to shop for a cheap inspection. The cost of a home inspection is very small relative to the home being inspected. The additional cost of hiring a certified inspector is almost insignificant. As a home buyer, you have recently been crunching the numbers, negotiating offers, adding up closing costs, shopping for mortgages and trying to get the best deals. Do not stop now. Do not let your real estate agent, a patty-cake inspector or anyone else talk you into skimping here. NACHI front-ends its membership requirements. NACHI turns down more than 1/2 the inspectors who want to join because they can't fulfill the membership requirements. NACHI certified inspectors perform the best inspections by far. NACHI certified inspectors earn their fees many times over. They do more, they deserve more, and yes they generally charge a little more. Do yourself a favor...and pay a little more for the quality inspection you deserve.

Why might open source software not be right for my online store

So, you want to have your own online store. Is it going to be expensive to get started? Will you need web designers or an expensive solution to create that store? How big is the job? If you don’t want to spend a small fortune on the software to create your online store and you do like to experiment with your own web development you might consider doing it yourself with open source shopping cart software. This can create an entire online solution for your online store and can even be integrated with other programs like your shipping software. It can manage multiple currencies, it can be multilingual, it works with many payment programs and new features and functions are added all the time because there’s a community that collectively and separately works to improve this evolving program. There are several options here. You may choose to buy a solution, use a turnkey open source e-commerce solution or you can start from scratch yourself with something like OSCommerce. Many novice internet online entrepreneurs get started with free tools that they build up to service their needs. Open source software can be a great solution for three reasons. 1. It’s free. Got no money for startup costs? This can be a good DIY solution. 2. It’s customizable so it can be tweaked to meet your specific needs. 3. There’s a huge online community that supports other users of this tool. The downside to open source solutions You generally don’t get free 24/7/365 support when you have problems in the open source world. You are at the mercy of the community and the knowledge base. Unless you want to pay for expertise, it can take time to navigate through the information available on the software and trouble shooting your store can be a bit labor intensive. There are turnkey open source solutions that you can jump into and begin using and then add on your own modules and there are an abundance of online sources and tutorials as well as community forums where you can pose questions and share your expertise as you build it. You may find that your problems are minor and easily fixable. This will depend on many factors including what version of the software you are using, how many different modules you have, outside factors and how complex your store is. Do you know enough about technology to get started? Anyone can do some dabbling but if you are anxious, you might want to buy a turnkey solution and going it alone might not be the right choice for you. There are also products out there with the open source mindset but designed to be easier as a point and click solution. Products like Zen Cart claim to be easier to work with for the novice and there are many resources that work with OS Commerce but that allow you the best of both worlds: to dabble on your own and to have support. In summary, if you want a low cost or free solution and are willing to put time and effort into learning the tool and contributing to the open source community, you can use this to your advantage. Do your homework and look at your technical abilities, your requirements for your online store and your time constraints for troubleshooting, trial and error. It’s a great idea to lurk on some OSCommerce forums before taking the plunge. This can help you determine whether you have the knowledge and desire to use this e-commerce tool.

Improve your golf swing and driving distance with golf stretches

The golf swing is arguably one of the most difficult athletic actions to perform. The golf swing requires you to draw the golf club through a long range of motion with proper technique and exact timing. Any error in swing plane, timing, or sequence will cause your golf swing to suffer, and suffer it will. Unfortunately, the result of your golf swing suffering will be errant shots, poor golf scores, and frustration on the golf course. Often the amateur is at a lost for why their golf swing results in errant shots. Countless hours are spent at the range in an effort to improve their golf swing. Hundreds or even thousands of dollars are spent on lessons each year, and not to mention the purchasing of new equipment. It all adds up to a lot of time and money spent on improving the golf swing. Unfortunately, for many amateur golfers their handicaps and score never improve. Leading to the question “why is my golf game not improving?” If this is you and this question lingers in your mind. The answer to your question could easily be staring right back at you in the mirror. The failure of improvement may have absolutely nothing to do with the driver you are swinging, the teaching pro helping you with your swing, or even your practice routine. It could all do with you! Yes you, the physical body swinging the golf club. Keep in mind the golf club does not perform the mechanics of the golf swing. Nor do the mechanics of the golf swing execute themselves without you. It is you and your body executing the mechanics of the golf swing. The point to make is your body directly affects the mechanics of the golf swing. Additionally, the golf swing requires your body to encompass certain physical qualities to execute the mechanics of the golf swing correctly. These physical qualities are certain levels of flexibility, muscular strength, balance, and power. If you are lacking the minimal amounts of flexibility, balance, strength, and power to execute the golf swing correctlypensations will occur even before you swing the golf club. For example, let’s look at your flexibility. The golf swing requires you to draw the golf club through a large range of motion. The backswing requires a full shoulder turn to set the club in the correct slot for the downswing, and the finish position is almost a mirror image of the backswing. In order to perform these parts of the golf swing correctly, the muscles of your body must be flexible. An inflexible body in which muscles are “tight” creates restrictions in movement. Restrictions in movement in relation to the golf swing will undoubtedly result in limitations pertaining to golf swing. The limitation will impede you from creating a full shoulder turn and balanced finish position. This causes compensations in the mechanics of the golf swing. The entire body needs to be flexible for the golf swing. Certain muscles more than others are involved in the golf swing, and if these muscles are “tight” they will directly affect your golf swing. One such set of muscles is your hamstrings. The hamstrings (back side of your upper leg) are often “tight” and cause problems to many people, not just golfers. However, they have a profound effect on the golf swing and it is not a good effect. Hamstrings that are “tight” are in a shortened position. The shortened position of the hamstrings has a direct effect on the position of your hips. Your hips will be “tucked”, directly affecting your posture. This in itself can hamper the ability to place oneself in the correct position at address within the golf swing, not to mention maintaining a proper spine angle during the swing. Additionally, “tight” hamstrings place an undo amount of stress on the lower back. Large amounts of stress on the lower back cause fatigue, soreness, and increase the possibility of injury. If you are a golfer that has ever experienced lower back pain you know the effect it has on your ability to swing the golf club correctly. A combination of a postural change and undo amounts of stress on the lower back, just begin to scratch the surface of the effect inflexible muscles can have on the golf swing. “Tight” muscles change the kinematics of the body. As a result, the biomechanics of the golf swing must be altered. These alterations usually lead to compensations in the mechanics of the golf swing resulting in errant shot patterns on the golf course. And no matter what you do in terms of practice or instruction these alterations will not go away until you address them. Just as you address swing faults, you must address flexibility faults. Flexibility faults can be addressed through golf stretches. Golf stretches enhance the flexibility of your body in relation to the golf swing. Golf stretches often times return muscles that are “tight” such as the hamstrings to their proper length. This results in the ability of your body to perform the biomechanics of the golf swing correctly. If you are one of many golfers who are not finding their golf swing improving through practice and instruction. Take a moment and look at the body swinging the golf club. This very well may be the root of your golf swing problems. Fix your flexibility faults through golf stretches and find yourself on the road to lower golf scores and more enjoyment in the game of golf. Sean Cochran

What s a usb hub

Since the mid 90's we have seen the birth and growth of a connective technology called Universal Serial Bus (USB). Originally designed to connect computers and telecoms equipment, it has slowly become the primary means of connecting a whole host of other devices and has made significant contributions to today's IT world. The sheer number of USB products on the market today is just staggering, from mice and keyboards, modems, external hard drives to USB fans, lights and coffee cup warmers! Most external computer related devices today connect to a computer via a USB port. So it's no wonder that before long, most computer users find themselves wondering what to do when the USB ports (sockets) on their computer are all used. There are two solutions to the problem, constantly plug and unplug connectors when swapping between USB devices, or invest in a simple, low cost device called a USB Hub. A USB Hub is a small unit with two or more USB ports, which plugs into an USB port on your computer, allowing you the freedom to connect more USB devices without disconnecting others. Expanding the number of USB ports of your computer in this way not only saves wear and tear on your USB ports and connectors, but also puts and end to all that clambering around behind your PC! Generally speaking, there are four types of available: 1. Internal USB PCI Card An internal PCI USB Card needs to be installed by opening up the case of your PC and inserting a card into a vacant PCI slot on the motherboard, this type of USB expansion is not advised unless you are familiar with working with and inside computers. If you have the older USB1.1 and upgrade to USB2.0, your version of Windows will also need to be updated so that your PC can support USB2.0 functionality. 2. USB Hub (Non Powered) An external non-powered USB Hub is a cheap and simple device that plugs directly into one of your computer's existing USB ports and that's all there is to it. These are usually very compact and so make ideal solutions for mobile users with laptops and for desktop users. Be aware that some USB devices require a small amount of power through the USB port, usually mechanical devices such as printers, scanners, digital cameras and so on. This type of USB Hub may not be able to supply adequate power to these devices especially if you are using a few USB devices together. 3. Powered USB Hub An external Powered USB Hub is also compact and plugs directly into one of your computer's existing USB ports, so again there is no need to open up your computer to install it. The only difference is that the Powered Hub comes with a separate power supply that must be plugged into the mains socket, supplying the power to all the USB ports on the hub allowing ANY type of USB devices to function properly. Most Powered Hubs come with a sensible length of USB cable allowing the Hub itself to be positioned in a more accessible place e. g. on top of your computer or on your desk, making plugging and unplugging USB devices much easier. This makes the Powered Hub the all round best solution for desktop computer users. 4. USB PC Card If you use a Laptop and are on the move, you have an additional choice to the USB Hub, the USB PC Card also known as the PCMCIA USB Card. This device slots into the PCMCIA slot/port found on the side of a Laptop and instantly provides two extra USB ports without using up any of your existing USB ports on the Laptop. This is the most popular solution for mobile Laptop users. When buying a suitable external USB Hub, consider the location of your computer's USB ports. If they are located at the back of your computer or in an awkward position, you can make your life so much easier by using a USB Hub that comes with a USB extension cable, or by buying a separate USB extension cable. This allows the USB Hub to be positioned to a more accessible place for plugging and unplugging your USB devices.

The characteristics of soul

At the dawn of spring, I am reminded by my children the joy of anticipating new life. They will usually see a flower or two that has made its way through the soil to a world beyond itself. What starts out as a seedling or bulb is transformed by nature's capacity to evolve. Inside each of us lies dormant an awareness, an identity, an ability to grow beyond what we appear to be. Every moment, we are being challenged by others and by circumstances to create a life that exceeds our present state of living. To move toward our highest good takes a willingness on our part to let go of what we know to what can be known in and through us. You and I are part of the Created Order we see around us, and we are participants in Creating Order out of what we have been given to care for. With this in mind, let us turn to ways our soul can be described in the characteristics that make up a flower: 1. The Ground. The ground nurtures, protects, and gives birth to a flower. Inside the womb of the ground, life is taking root long before we can see it. Because we cannot see a flower that has been planted in the earth, does not mean life is not being created. To be full participants in our world means to be fully connected and rooted in the world we have been given. 2. The Stem. The stem begins its growth in the earth below and into the sky above. This part of the flower is the connecting characteristic of the plant. Much like humanity, we are in this world without being fully of it. This creates a sacredness to our lives. It is our unique ability to live and grow in a way no one ever has, is, or ever will. 3. The Flower. In full bloom, a flower is the illumination of all the life that has preceded it. The radiance and color that pour out of it create life. Notice the next time you look at a flower how you are affected by it. You may notice your heart open and be filled with joy. Or, you may notice more energy and clarity in your vision for being blessed with great beauty. 4. The Spirit of a Flower. The spirit of a flower is the life force moving in and through it. It is the essence of a flower that identifies with your spirit. This part of you opens from the inside out and becomes ONE with the spirit of a flower. It is the same energy that runs in and through you. Like a flower, you begin to radiate your own soul from the essence of your own being. Each spring, take the time to notice the part of you opening up to new life. Just like flowers, we grow from the inside out. What illuminates in our life began inside us. We nurture these inner qualities of attention until they eventually take root and grow into our daily lives. The growth that follows is created from what we attend to or hold our attention on within us. Like the pedals of a flower opening to the world around it, we create a presence of awareness. In full bloom, the beauty or the lack thereof touches the lives of everyone around us. As our inner patterns of attention move through us, the world illuminates the seeds of awareness contained within us for so long. Here, a life is created. It is the life of our soul.
