The importance of vitamins

All my life I have been very interested in vitamins and the role they have in our very day life. The importance of vitamins has been known for only a short time, however, their actual effects were demonstrated long ago. Around 400 B. C., the father of modern medicine, Hippocrates, first advocated using liver to cure night blindness. The importance of vitamins and minerals can't be overstated. Every function in the body is directly or indirectly controlled and assisted by the essential vitamins and minerals. Someone who might not agree with me on the importance of vitamins should just try it for a month and see how much better they might feel. My mom has taken vitamins for years and has not been sick with the flu for seventeen years. The world of vitamins and, even more so, minerals, goes way beyond what the majority of people are most aware of, even today. Now, with all the publicity about heart disease, Vitamin E is also well known. Proper food consumption should be accompanied by the right vitamins and minerals. Vitamins serve as buffers in the event that your diet does not meet your daily requirements fully. Arm yourself with the proper knowledge with regards to how we can greatly benefit from the various vitamins and minerals that we can find in our daily food intake. The production of serotonin and dopamine as well as the maintaining of chemical balance within the brain is a something that can be well regulated with the proper intake of the available nutrients. You can find information about individual nutrients on specific minerals and vitamins, When having vitamin suplements is important to understand that each of these formulas contains different amounts of necessary nutrients, vitamins, and minerals specific to that person's individual need. When taking daily vitamin supplements, it's good to know which ones help which parts of the body. For example: Calcium (Ca) and vitamin D play critical roles in bone mineralisation as well as generally being key nutrients in health. All living cells require Ca to survive, with the majority (99%) of Ca being found in bones and teeth and the remainder in soft tissues and body fluids. They also amplify the breach which involves our bodies' nutritional requirements and the vitamins and minerals that are not always accessible within our meals. Recent research indicates that vitamins and minerals play a much larger role than simply providing a solid foundation for overall good health. Ideal levels of health, can only be achieved through the help of various vitamins and minerals that we need to take in order to keep a healthy and sound mind. In fact research show that certain vitamins are very important to brain function as well as to help maintain the brain's good health. There are several vitamins and minerals that directly influence tense system functioning and health, and it is important to see to it that these are consumed at satisfactory levels. The Vitamin B complex is one of the most important of the vitamins that influence the health and performance of the nervous system, as it is members of this powerful group that are responsible for the creation of some of the most basic structures within the tense system. Along with Vitamin A and Vitamin E, Zinc is a mineral that helps people in regulating their thyroid hormones. To resume and conclude, you need to keep in mind that intake of proper amount of vitamins and minerals is very essential. There are many minerals and vitamins that your body requires every day in order to function at peak efficiency.

Teeth whitening options

Teeth Whitening Options It is said that teeth whitening is the number one cosmetic dental procedure today. Many people are looking for ways to brighten up their smile which in turns lightens their whole face and gives them more confidence. There may be a variety of reasons why your teeth are not as white as they should be. Some people have been affected by taking antibiotics such as tetracycline. Many times it can discolor one or more teeth with prolonged use. Others are affected by nerve damage, or may have discoloration due to dental trauma. It may be that your personal habits are the reason for your teeth discoloration. Your diet and your dental hygiene all play a part in how white your teeth are and how white they will stay. One thing that cannot be helped is teeth discoloration caused by aging. It is said that no matter how great you look, when you open your mouth the color of your teeth will give away your true age. There are many options for those that are looking to whiten their teeth and a few of them can be performed at home, or for more drastic and lasting results there are a few cosmetic dentistry options you may want to consider. The Option of Veneers If you have teeth that are worn down, not in alignment or severely discolored, getting veneers may be an option for you. Not only will your teeth look dramatically whiter, it will also change the structure of your teeth. If you are not happy with the way your teeth look not counting the color, then this may be the cosmetic dental procedure you should consider. An added advantage of getting veneers is that they have a coating of stain resistant material and will virtually stay white for the rest of your life. What about Bonding? Bonding is meant for procedures that are considered to be a touch up. It can help to whiten one or two teeth that are discolored, mend any chips in your teeth and help to fill a gap that is wide. Bonding is not like veneers as they typically stain just like your regular teeth do. The good thing about bonding is that it is typically covered by your insurance as it is not just intended for cosmetic purposes. Having Your Teeth Whitened by a Professional When you are looking for lasting improvements to the appearance of your teeth then having your dentist do a professional teeth whitening procedure may be the answer. Insurance doesn’t cover the procedure, but if you count on your appearance for your livelihood, then perhaps you should look into the various methods available. Typically a dentist will use a bleaching agent to whiten your teeth. It can take just one visit or several depending upon the severity of discoloration. There is a quicker method using a laser along with whitening gel containing crystals, but this is more expensive but results will be immediate. Home Teeth Whitening Products A less costly method to getting your teeth whitened is to use an in home tooth whitening kit. Some use bleaching techniques and the directions will guide you step-by-step through the process so you are assured of doing it correctly. Though your teeth will not be as white as they would be if you had it done professionally, generally people are pleased with the results they get for the price they paid. There is a new product available only in Australia and New Zealand that is a click and twist pen for getting your teeth their whitest. You can look on the internet to see if you can find where to purchase one if this type of teeth whitening interests you. There are also teeth whitening strips you can buy. You are well advised to do some research before buying any home teeth whitening kits as reading reviews of the various products available will steer you to the best ones.

Caregivers don t become control freaks

Copyright 2006 Lynne Taetzsch When you’re a primary caregiver responsible for the well-being of your father, mother or another loved one, it’s easy to become obsessed with the details. You want to make sure your Dad isn’t eating rotten food, so you smell everything in his refrigerator. You note that your Mom’s hair is oily and stringy, so you insist she let you wash it. “And take off that blouse you’ve been wearing all week and put on a clean one,” you add. I’m not sure if it’s a trait of all caregivers, but I was some kind of control freak when I was responsible for my Dad’s care when he lived in an assisted-living facility nearby. I kept a sharp eye out for his special needs—like making sure there were facial tissues and toilet paper in the bathroom. With his severe short-term memory loss, he certainly wouldn’t remember to restock those items, and I didn’t want him reaching for a hand towel to wipe with—or worse yet, not wipe at all! So perhaps the controlling started with the best of intentions to make things better for Dad, but I think it escalated to excess. Not only was I obsessed with perfection, but I expected everyone else in the family to take care of Dad exactly the way I would. When my husband and I went away for a month, leaving two of my brothers in charge, I sent them a three-page letter of detailed instructions they were to follow. Yet, what Dad really loved about visits from his sons was playing with them—going to a bar for a beer, playing shuffleboard, pool or cards. That’s what meant something to Dad when his sons visited, not the fact that they made sure his laundry was done. Dad loved to play cards with me, too, and sometimes I’m afraid I was so obsessed with the housekeeping that I neglected his simple need for my companionship. I was so good at managing Dad’s life that I sometimes overstepped and did things for Dad that he could have done for himself. One time my sister sent him a tin of cookies wrapped tightly in tape, and as I saw Dad struggle to get it off, I was about to grab the tin out of his hands—something my husband complains I often do to him. Fortunately, I held back that time, and Dad had the satisfaction of opening it himself. It may take longer for our loved ones to do things for themselves, but whenever possible, we should let them. The times that I remember best now that Dad has passed away are not the hours I spent taking him to doctors or dealing with housekeeping issues. The times I remember best are the ones that made Dad happy in a special way, the days we shared doing fun things. One day we took a walk in Treman Park along one of Ithaca’s famous gorges. Dad was so impressed with the views of nature, as well as the views of young girls walking by in shorts. After that we had lunch at Friendlies with his granddaughter and great grandchildren. Later, as I walked Dad to his room he said, “You’re a wonderful young lady to have as a daughter.” Now, I’m not saying that housekeeping, grooming, and doctor’s visits aren’t important. Of course I helped the quality of Dad’s life by paying attention to these details. As a primary caregiver, you have to pay attention to those things, and I guess that’s what contributes to our becoming control freaks. But it’s also important to relax and let go at times. If you are tense, in a hurry, always focused on managing your loved ones’ lives, you will miss out on the opportunity to share more meaningful experiences with them. You don’t know how many of those opportunities you’ll have, and you won’t want to look back and regret missing them. So stop. Sit down. Have a cup of tea and just be together.

What is dnp

: DNP (Dinitrophenol) is an uncoupler, which has the capacity to break up the flow of negatrons (electrons) and the lifting of H+ ions for ATP fusion. It means that the power from electron shift cannot be meant for ATP synthesis. Fifty years ago, this (DNP) industrial compound with a variety of practical applications has attained steady recognition as a fat loss tool. At that time, it found its way into many diet tonics and medicines and lots of these products were purchasable without a doctor's prescription. After two years, DNP was banned by the FDA as a dieting agent because of its addition in many OTC dietary supplements. Featuring a surprising 50% enhancement in metabolism, DNP is beneficial to lose 10-12 pounds of body weight within 8 days. It is classed as an “uncoupler of oxidative phosphorylation” in medical terms. It is a cellular metabolic poison that disconnects oxidative phosphorylation by moving nucleons across the mitochondrial tissue layer that causes quick energy consumption without ATP production. DNP comes under the category of compounds, which have six members that do not transpire by nature but are all man-made compounds. Industrial DNP is mainly intended for scientific study and manufacturing purposes. From time to time, it has been used to make dyes, other organic chemicals, and wood preservatives. It has also been used to make photographic developer, explosives, and chemicals. DNP acts as a proton ionophore in living cells, which can shuttle hydrogen ions across organic tissue layers. DNP is frequently used in biochemistry examination to help search the regularization of bioenergetics in different organisms. The United States Environmental Protection Agency also considered DNP as an environmental pollutant that can move into the atmosphere from automobile exhaust fumes, burning of industrial matter and from reaction of nitrogen into air along with other atmospheric materials. DNP is also used by the hardcore since Dan Duchaine’s reportage of it a couple years ago. Gradually, it has managed to attain recognition as an influential tool for weight loss. Concerns about grave side effects and rapidly arising dangers resulted in DNP being discontinued in the United States by the end of 1938. But, it continues to be used by some bodybuilders plus jocks to speedily lose fat inside the body. The side effects of DNP are quite frightening and contribute to making DNP one of the most insufferable drugs used in muscle building. The most substantial risks of DNP use include overheating, carcinogenesisa and death. The common fallouts comprise discomfort, sweating, insomnia, yellow bodily fluids, muscle soreness, allergic reactions and carbohydrate cravings. DNP overdose causes a deadly fever.

Too loud and clear how to stop snoring

Just about anyone who knows they snore has probably tried to stop snoring before. Not only for themselves, but for other people who wake up and lose valuable rest because of the noise. The problem is, snoring is not voluntary, it is an involuntary action—so it is not as easy as just saying “I’m going to stop snoring tonight.” If only it was. That being said, there are still different ways to treat snoring. This does not mean that everyone can stop snoring, but there are ways to treat many different of the causes that make many people snore. The main medical cause of snoring (at least the majority of the time) is that the airway in your throat constricts (shrinks) and so your body is not getting enough air when you sleep. The snoring is your body’s way of trying to naturally compensate. There are all kinds of machines, gadgets, gimmicks, medicines, and combination of all of the above that have been touting their ability to prevent a person from snoring, with mixed results. There are some people who have touted various methods to stop snoring without the use of any other assistance. According to these people, the problem is that your tongue gets in the way of the airway, and training the tongue to stay out of the way will eliminate the snoring. There are websites and even entire books touting this method. Another thought is that literally 99% of people who snore breathe through their mouths at night. This has led to a relatively new idea, a chin strap. The idea behind this is that if your mouth is held closed when you sleep, you will have to breathe through your nose and therefore will stop snoring. Some people say that after a certain amount of time this will train you to naturally breathe with your nose at night, others do not make any type of similar claim. The obvious problem to this is how uncomfortable it can be. There are various more conventional methods of dealing with snoring, which include various nasal strips (to open the breathing passages) and nasal sprays. There is also a specialized pillow, designed to relax and support the neck muscles in such a way that it is also supposed to keep the airway open and therefore reduce snoring. Some studies have also found that smokers who quit sometimes top snoring as their lungs recover. There are many different options and directions, but there is probably an option out there for anyone who wants to look.

Help stop snoring limiting eating before bedtime

It’s getting to close to bedtime and your stomach is looking for a late night snack. You go to the kitchen and decide on a nice thick slice of chocolate cake. After brushing your teeth you tuck yourself into bed and within hours you feel the familiar hand of your spouse trying to wake you up so you’ll stop snoring. Snoring is a problem that almost everyone has had to deal with at some point. Whether it was a parent who snored, a partner or their own snoring problem, it changed not only their sleep patterns but their stress level as well. If we don’t get a good night’s rest we can end up irritated, frustrated and angry with the person who snores, even if logically it seems that there is nothing they can do about it. There might be something that can easily change the situation and help them to stop snoring. The solution might be found in their menu. The foods we eat can have a direct impact on whether or not we snore. Eating right before you retire for the night gives your body less of a chance to digest the food. This can result in the food sitting within your stomach and depending on the size of the snack or the meal it can also cause you to feel pressure on your diaphragm. It is that pressure that can result in snoring. Adjusting your meal time might help improve the snoring. If you are accustomed to eating dinner later in the evening at eight or nine o’clock, it might be wise to move that ahead several hours so that by the time you do hit the hay, the food will have been digested and it won’t result in a restless sleep that is filled with the sounds of snoring. Experimenting a bit with eating times is wise in this case. It might be as simple as an hour difference in time that results in you snoring or not. That is a small change that can have a big result in not only your sleep but in the sleep of those who have listened to you snore night after night. Snacks are often a regular routine of night time television viewing. Eating potato chips, popcorn or pretzels is a great way to add flavor to an evening of sports or movies. Choosing a different snack might help you to have a sounder sleep though. Some research suggests that honey has a positive effect on the airways and can help stop snoring. Eating an apple dipped in honey or having a cup of warm tea with honey will not only help with stopping the snoring but it won’t place such a heavy burden on your digestive system at the end of the day. Overall the main points to remember when eating to avoid snoring are: * Avoid eating late in the day. * Avoid eating snacks that contain too many calories * Avoid snacks that take a long time to digest. Looking carefully at your diet and your dietary habits might result in not only a healthier eating pattern but also may help with a snoring problem. Simply adjusting what you eat and when you eat it could stop your snoring completely.

The recent instances of steroid use in swimming

: The Fйdйration Internationale de Natation – FINA is an International Swimming Federation recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) for administering international competition in the aquatic sports. Headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland, FINA has many swimming sports governing bodies operating under its umbrella to curb the performance enhancing drugs & steroid use in swimming. The swimming international governing body’s (FINA’s) policy on steroid use in swimming articulates that any athlete who tests positive for steroid use must be suspended for two years, regardless of whether the swimmer knowingly or unknowingly ingested a banned substance. The French Swimming Federation, operating under FINA, imposed a sanction of one (1) year’s suspension on the open water swimmer Carlo Bertoncelli (ITA) on 1 July 2006, when the competitor was tested positive for the substance finasteride following a doping control test conducted with the occasion of French Open Water Cup in Beaumont-du-Lac, France. The Brazilian Swimming Confederation imposed a sanction of two (2) years’ suspension on the swimmer Renata de Oliveira Burgos (BRA) from 14 December 2006, when the swimmer was tested positive to the steroid use. The agency found the swimmer using the substance stanozolol (Class S1. Anabolic Agents) following a doping control test conducted with the occasion of the Open CBDA Correios de Nataзao. Mr. Anatoliy Poliakov (RUS), who was tested positive to the substance boldenone (Class S.1.1.a Exogenous Anabolic Androgenic Steroids) on 23 January 2007, was provisionally suspend from the 25 April 2007, under the FINA Unannounced Out-of-Competition Testing Program. According to the FINA decision, Mr. Anatoliy Poliakov shall be ineligible for two (2) years. On the occasion of the First FINA Men Water Polo Development Trophy held in Kuwait City (KUW), Mr. Mehdi Sebou (MAR) was tested positive to the substance 19-Norandrosterone, Metabolite of nandrolone (Class S.1.1.a Anabolic Androgenic Steroids) on 8 May 2007. The FINA Executive decided, as per FINA Rule DC 7.1.12, to provisionally suspend Mr. Mehdi Sebou from the 6 July 2007 until a hearing before the FINA Doping Panel can be made.

Physical fitness improves brain health

Copyright 2006 Simon Evans Everyone knows that exercise is good for them. It contributes to weight loss and weight management. It’s good for your heart and your cardiovascular system. And it generally keeps you fit and healthier. But did you know that exercise is also good for your brain? It can actually make you smarter. Not only that, but exercise can help prevent disorders like Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and depression. It can even increase your chances of recovering from a stroke or traumatic brain injury. Exercise improves learning and memory. It turns out that physical activity actually turns on hormonal support systems in your brain. The activation of these systems strengthens brain circuits that you already have and helps you develop new ones. Exercise causes a rise in several growth factors in the brain that are responsible for helping brain cells survive and divide into new brain cells, or neurons. Only a couple of brain regions can produce new neurons and exercise increases the amount and rate of neuron production in these regions. Exercise also increases the blood supply in the brain. In laboratory studies, exercise increased the number of blood vessels that supply several brain regions. This has the effect of improving nutrient delivery and waste removal from critical regions that effect mental function. One of the brain areas producing new neurons is the hippocampus. The hippocampus plays a critical role in learning, memory and attention. Exercise induces new neuron growth in the hippocampus and improves performance on several types of cognitive tasks. Exercise improves mental health. Another important role of the hippocampus is in the response to stress. In fact, studies show that war veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder have a smaller hippocampus. Stress actually damages the hippocampus and can cause neurons to die, the opposite of what happens when you exercise. Folks that exercise regularly know that they are much more capable of handling stress throughout their day than they are when they don’t exercise. This is, in part, because exercise and stress have opposite effects on the hippocampus and exercise improves your ‘buffer’ to handle the stress. Interestingly, anti-depressants work in a similar manner. Although, we don’t completely understand the exact mechanism of anti-depressant action, we do know that several classes of anti-depressants increase new neurons in the hippocampus. They do the same thing that exercise does! Anti-depressant drugs activate the same growth factor systems in the brain that exercise activates. They also induce new neuron growth in the hippocampus, similar to exercise routines. Psychiatrists have known for a long time that patients experiencing depression respond much better to therapy if they combine it with regular exercise. In some cases, exercise alone is sufficient to alleviate depressive symptoms. With so many kids and adults on anti-depressants today, I have to wonder what proportion of them could get off these medications with more physical activity. Of course, anti-depressant therapy is both beneficial and necessary for some folks. But the rate of prescriptions today, especially in kids, is out of control. Exercise protects the brain from damage and disease. Studies also show that exercise protects the brain from aging and injury. Older adults that regularly exercise perform better in cognitive tasks and have lower rates of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. They also recover stronger from strokes and from accidental brain injury. One can argue that people that exercise have many factors in their lives that can contribute to these findings. For example, they smoke less, eat better, etc. However, studies in laboratory animals also support the idea that exercise is protective. Animals that are exercised are protected against traumatic brain injury in laboratory tests and don’t develop the extent of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease in model systems. Studies also show that in addition to exercise’s protective role, it is a valuable therapeutic tool for brain function. Fitness training improves cognitive functions relative to planning, scheduling, task coordination and attention. Adults that exercise have more grey matter, representing more brain cells, than adults that don’t exercise. Focus on the young family. All of the beneficial effects of exercise are compounded by starting early in life. It’s kind of like compound interest in the bank. The earlier you start saving, the more money there is to earn interest in the end. Yet, unfortunately, schools are cutting physical education for budgetary reasons. Soccer moms must unite and get exercise back in our schools. Inducing physically active behavior in our kids is crucial. Studies show that people tend to continue the lifestyles they are exposed to at an early age. Ignoring the value of physical activity now will make them more likely to do so as adults. In order for our kids to be cognitively active adults all the way through life, we must instill the importance of physical activity today. If we do not, we are doing them a huge disfavor. Many of us as parents forget about looking far into our kid’s futures. We have so much to worry about in day-to-day activities that keeping our kids from premature entry into the old-folks home is not at the forefront of our minds. Unfortunately, 2 out of 3 adults age 65 or older don’t engage in any regular physical activity and are not getting the brain protection they could be. The actions that we take with our kids now and the behaviors that we promote will have a huge impact on their life long success. Yes, once they are out of our homes they are their own people and can choose to live their lives how they want. Nevertheless, we have to give them the leg-up now to set them up for the successes they deserve. Even if you are a new parent for the first time, please be aware that you are influencing many decades by what you deem important today.

The effects of the banning online gambling

Everyone talks about the negative impact of online gambling, but they are not talking about the negative impact of banning online gambling. A reason for banning online casinos was to make sure that underage children were not using thee parents credit cards to gamble online, but besides the fact that most online casinos did everything possible to ensure to verify the age of the account holder before allowing any gambling to occur, but by banning it you are only stopping the law abiding casinos from taking bets and not the less reputable online casinos. They will use third party account like PayPal ore Click2pay which provide a loophole in the new law. By banning an activity especially such a popular activity as online gambling all that can be expected to happen is for people to find ways around the law, such as the Speakeasies of the 1920’s. A Speakeasy was a nightclub that served Alcohol during prohibition and was usually hidden in the back rooms of pet stores and innocent looking book stores. Every time a speakeasy was raided the next night another one was opened, and this is what will happen with these online casinos. If the government finds one operating in the USA and gets it shut down or manages to stop the money flowing to it then another will open. By regulating online gambling the government would know exactly who was running the casino to make sure they were running it honestly and within all the laws, and it would help make sure that the criminal element did not get rich and gain power a second time in the history of the USA because of a bad lawmaking decision. Another reason given for the ban of online gambling was to help protect against a rise in problem gamblers from have casino gamming in your home 24 hrs a day, but no proof has ever been found that shows that people who would normally not be inclined to go to a casino and gamble would decide to do it just because it was now in their homes. The facts actually show a steady rate of people with gambling problems and growing at the same rate it has been growing for over 25 years. Many experts are now saying that there are some positives to the online gambling ban, but those positives would be even better if the industry was properly legalized and not, just by putting a mostly unenforceable law in place. But this to be a pattern the government seems to always make, it is much like the war on drugs. Last time I checked thee was still a drug problem in this country even though drugs are illegal, yet in countries like Holland where the use of soft drugs like hash and grass are legal the number people with drug problems is much lower per capita then in the USA. This is because the money that is brought in the form of taxes from these sales goes to fund the public schools where they properly educate kids on the negative effects of these drugs, so most of the people who smoke are tourists and not the locals. Maybe one day the government will learn from its past mistakes and make things right.

Bad breath halitosis

Bad breath(Halitosis)is widespread and quite common. You have probably discretely stepped away from friends or colleagues with bad breath. But it can also be a shock to realize that others, for the same reason, may be edging (discretely) away from you! How can you know if your breath is offensive? Try this simple bad breath(Halitosis)test: Lick the inside of your wrist and wait 4 seconds. Now smell your wrist. If you don't like what smell, your breath does not smell good either. Easy, no? An accurate and portable diagnosis! What causes bad breath? · Not enough water in your body, dehydration. · Gum or tooth problems/ disease · Intestinal/ stomach disorders, yeast infection · Use of medications · Stress Remedies for Bad Breath (Halitosis) 1. Water - yes, water! Many people suffer from chronic dehydration because they don't drink drink the 8-12 glasses of water a day that the body needs. This common form of dehydration causes much common bad breath. You can improve your breath - and give a big lift to your health - simply by drinking enough water. 2. Recently eaten food that hasn't been brushed out can quickly smell bad. The "cure" then is to simply brush or floss. For gum disease and decay you must visit your dentist. And for improved oral hygiene, put a few drops of Oil of Oregano on your toothbrush or to swish it in your mouth as a mouthwash. Did you know that Oil of Oregano is antibacterial/ anti viral/ anti fungus and anti parasite? It seeks out these health impediments everywhere in the body. At the first signs of infection, Oil of Oregano is your great first line of defense. 3. For disturbed digestion you should see your doctor. But for mild problems such as GERD and acid reflux, take probiotics in the form acidophilus or kefir. For worse stomach problems try ј cup of Aloe vera before breakfast. Do this for at least 3 weeks. For my friend Peter this completely healed his stomach ulcer! Most GERD are related to the H pylori, which is a bacteria found in meats that haven't been thoroughly cooked. If you like your meat rare, take Oil of Oregano on a regular basis as a preventive measure. 3. When you are under too much stress your digestive system doesn't circulate enough oxygen (the energy goes into a fight or flight mode). This makes your digestive tract a breeding ground for the wrong bacteria - and for bad breath as well. Be sure to introduce deep, relaxed breathing throughout your busy day. 4. Eat raw parsley, chew on anise seed or cardamom, nutmeg or fennel - they're natural breath fresheners that don't just mask odors, but actually freshen the breath. 5. Eat plenty of vegetables, fruit and whole grains; avoid white flour products like white bread and pastas, as well as sugared juices and sodas. 5. You may have an undetected yeast infection. Find out for yourself by performing a simple self-test for yeast/candida overgrowth. 6. Chew your food well and do not drink fluids with your food. Take no food two hours before bedtime and try to not take food for 12 hours after dinner. 7. Eliminate as often as you can. Try to have three bowel movements a day. If you need some help, try 4 ounces of prune juice with 4 ounces of magnesium citrate. (My R. N. friend Marie calls this "The Bomb".) For more help try 2000 mg. of vitamin C with electrolytes every hour. Do this for 4 hours or more, until you start to have loose stools. (This also works well for headaches and boosts your immune system. 8. Drink at least 2 cups of kefir a day. This helps your intestinal flora regain its natural balance of bacteria. Remember - fresh, clean breath is a reflection of good health, and health is an ongoing process. Stick with it! Follow my suggestions, and keep a log of what you do and the effects you see. This simple tracking process can help you pinpoint what is truly effective. You will be inspired by your own success! Warmly, Pieternel van Giersbergen.

Injectable steroids are more popular

Steroids are derivatives of testosterone, the hormone that regulates your body functions. There are mainly two ways of taking steroids; oral and injection. Oral steroids are available in for of pills that you can take orally. The injectable steroids are available in forms of injections, jabs, or shots, which are injected intramuscular. Steroids are lawfully available through a medical prescription. They are often given to those with impotency or lack of androgenic hormone ‘testosterone’. They are also recommended to patients with AIDS and cancer. On the other hand, they are used illicitly by several bodybuilders and athletes as a fast method to get power and muscle. Bodybuilders use steroids in both forms, oral and injectable. Injectable steroids are longer lasting as compared to their oral forms. Injectable steroids are administered in an intramuscular way in order to avoid quick blood level changes. Injectable steroids are divided into added categories, those that are very long-lasting and those that last for a shorter time. In recent times, the use has transferred to the later class i. e. short-lasting or water-soluble injections. Dr. Gary Wadler, Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the NY University School of Medicine says, “The reason for that is that the side effects associated for the oral form were discovered to be especially worrisome for the liver. But the injectable steroids aren't free of side-effects either. There is no free ride and there is a price to be paid with either form.” Injectable steroids are injected into muscle tissue, and they gradually travel from the muscle into the rest of the body. Injectable steroids may be detectable for months after last use. The body tolerates the injectable steroids more efficiently than the oral steroids. Some of the popular injectable steroids are nandrolone phenpropionate (Durabolin), testosterone cypionate (Depo-Testosterone), nandrolone decanoate (Deca-Durabolin), boldenone undecylenate (Equipoise), BoldoJect, Boldabol, CypioJect, Deca Durabolin, Decabol, DecaJect, Dubol 100, Durabol, DuraJect, HCG - Pregnyl, HGH - JinTropin, Mastabol, MasterJect, Norma, Primobolan Depot, StanoJect, PrimoJect, Sustanon 250, Stanol, Testosterone Propionate 10%, Testabol Depot, Trenabol Depot, and Trenabol. The majority of steroid abusers doesn’t use one steroid but normally mixes both oral and injectable steroids, which is known as stacking. As compared to oral steroids, injectable steroids are more popular as they are less noxious to the liver than oral. Injectable steroids are securer to be taken because they do not have to be digested. Oral steroids have shorter life than injectable steroids.

Water it s good for you

Did you know that 70% of your body is water, your blood is 83% water and your muscles and brain is around 75% water? So it’s safe to say, water is important to your health. Even a mild dehydration can affect your short-term memory, concentration and cause fatigue. Another thing many are unaware of is that keeping your body hydrated can reduce back and joint pain in as many as 80% of sufferers. As a general rule, unless you have a medical condition that doesn’t allow you to, adults should drink 8 glasses of pure water every day. If you are overweight you should drink 1 glass extra for every 20 pounds you are overweight, and if you are working out you should add 1 glass for every 20 minutes of workout. Water can improve your health in many ways, for those trying to loose weight, it helps suppress hunger, it helps your metabolism and when your body sees it is getting a constant supply of fresh water every day, it will release all the excess water it stored when supply was less frequent. Other benefits include helping cleans your body of waste and toxins, improve your skin moisture, improves absorption of vitamins and nutrients, better digestion and increased energy levels. The best source is pure water, depending on the quality of your tap water, you should consider attaching a water purifier to your tap, or get bottled water. You should not count sodas and coffee against you water consumption, the 8 or more glasses should come in addition to other beverages you drink. So, if you are suffering from e. g. headaches, dry skin, dizziness or constipation, you may be dehydrated, and should try drinking at least 8 glasses of pure water every day. Tips to help you drink enough water * Have water within reach at all times. Carry around a bottle of water when you are on the move. * Add a little flavor to your water (e. g. lime or lemon) now and then for variety. * Buy a water filter for your home, this will improve the quality and taste of your tap water and lower the cost if you normally only drink bottled water. No more excuses, go get hydrated. Note: This is not medical advice. You should always consult your doctor before making any big changes to your eating and drinking habits.

To be young hip and super thin

Cause I'm young, and I'm hip, so beautiful I'm gonna be a supermodel I'm young, and I'm hip, so beautiful I'm gonna be supermodel I didn't, eat yesterday And I'm going not eat today And I'm not gonna eat tomorrow Cause I'm gonna be a supermodel --Lines from the song “I wanna be a Supermodel” This popular song by Avril Lavigne clearly spoke as to what what most teenagers are aspiring for today---be someone as skinny as Paris Hilton or be the next Gisele Bundchen. But in the pursuit of this dream, they consciously or unconsciously experimented with diets and extreme exercise to loose those unwanted pounds even go as far as taking weigh loss pill. Later on, they develop eating disorders with increasing frequency. Eating disorders rank the third most common chronic illness in most teenagers and young women. There are two subgroups of the disorders: anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa. 1. Anorexia Nervosa – is an eating disorder in which a person refuses to eat right, and has an intense fear of weight gain and a distorted body image. A person suffering from this shows skeletal muscle atrophy, loss of fatty tissue, weigh loss of 15% or greater, and yellowish skin. 2. Bulimia Nervosa – is which people are so preoccupied with their weight and shape and has episodes of binging and purging. During these episodes, they eat a large amount of food in a short period of time and then try to rid themselves of the extra calories by self-induced vomiting or getting rid of it by excessive exercise. More often then not they skip meals altogether. Bulimia nervosa is a serious condition and it can be life-threatening. Bulimic persons are usually with poor self-esteem. People with bulimia experience episodes of bingeing and purging. Binges often occur in private. Once the binging ends, the purging begins. They can be found in the bathrooms to vomit and may take laxatives. As it progresses, they become used to it and they will vomit whenever they want. Physical signs and symptoms of bulimia include: · bloating · dehydration · dry skin · irregular heartbeat · abnormal bowel functioning · menstrual irregularities Emotional behavior plays a big role in the bulimic person. They can be found dieting, eating much more food in a binge episode than taking a normal meal. They can be fasting, they hoard food and often can be anxious or depressed. Media in all forms contributes so much to the illusion that being waif-like is very beautiful and being thin is something to be so proud off. Peer pressure is also one of those reasons and trying to become popular another one. Upon proper diagnosis by your doctor, a person who can be bulimic undergoes physical exam, laboratory tests, and psychological evaluation, Treatment may include: medical care, nutritional therapy, medications, psychotherapy and even hospitalization. With proper treatment, a bulimic person can recover. Recovery is much faster if he or she gets the support from family and friends to seek or continue with the treatment prescribed. A bulimic shouldn't isolate herself and must be at all times be with her loved ones. Another positive action is not to constantly check yourself in the mirror which only reinforces your belief that you are ugly and you need to lose all that fat when it's not that it may seem.
